Dear parents & carers,
Welcome back to the summer term. As always, a super busy term with statutory tests for some year groups and for all to complete the school year making as much progress as possible. Lots of hard work and fun ahead.
From June 6th (after half-term) we will be running our own After School Club. We are very keen to improve our wrap around care offer. Our Breakfast and After School Club will ensure a safe and secure extended day for your children. Our new club will give children high quality after school care, opportunities for organised activities and games, a homework facility, access to school resources and will have school employees overseeing the needs of the children. This is an exciting development for our school.
If you would like your child to attend, please send an expression of interest to office@bushmeadprimaryschool.co.uk. We will then send you all the details.
On Friday 5th May we will be having celebration for the King's Coronation. Children can wear red, white and blue clothing. There will be picnic lunch provided by our caterers - free to EYFS & KS1 and those in receipt of a free school meal. Normal payments apply in KS2 or children can bring in their own packed lunch.
We are looking forward to welcoming Yr 1 parents to phonics workshops next week.
NEU members could take Industrial Action on the 27th April and 2nd May. I would notify you on Monday as to which classes / year groups will be open.
Other dates to note: Bank holidays on May 1st and May 8th. Inset (teacher training day) June 5th after half-term.
Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim families and colleagues.
Kind regards,
Joanne Travi
